Ghostwriting
If you have a powerful story to tell, we might be able to help you turn it into a book.
Maybe you don’t have the time or the inclination to write it yourself? That’s what ghostwriters are for. Or perhaps you have written a draft and want us to make it ready for publication? Tell us about it.
We take on just a few books each year because we give our clients the attention they deserve. You will have not one but two people working on your story. Everything written by your ghost will be carefully reviewed by a second writer.
As seasoned and sensitive professionals, we tackle all kinds of topics. Our recent projects, for example, include a gripping military memoir with a shocking twist, a vivid ocean adventure and the inspiring story of a woman who is Britain’s top campaigner on a condition afflicting millions.
A few questions and answers:
Will you help me write my book?
It depends partly on whether we honestly think people will want to read it. More than 100,000 books a year are published in Britain and most sell badly. We will always be truthful with you. When you contact us, please give us as much information as possible about what makes your story special.
What is a proposal?
Most publishers and agents want to see a book proposal first. This usually consists of a one page synopsis, at least one sample chapter, a detailed chapter breakdown, a review of any competing books and a sales pitch. We can write your proposal and then the whole book when you have a publishing deal.
How will you get all the information you need?
We are flexible. We will meet you as often as necessary and keep in touch by email and phone. We will do whatever it takes to ensure that your book is a great read and does you justice.
Can you help me self-publish my book?
Yes. Many famous writers have published their own work. It’s not an option to be taken lightly but it can be rewarding if you properly promote your book - we can also help you with this.
How much does ghostwriting cost?
We work out our fees individually with each client. Anything you pay would be in instalments, as we complete your book. As a rule of thumb, a book proposal with one sample chapter usually costs about £1,200, which we would deduct from the fee for writing the whole book after we have secured a deal with a publisher.
